Dr David Attipoe believes Africa’s brightest STEM graduates shouldn’t have to leave the continent to build world-class careers. As Co-Founder and CEO of Industry Immersion Africa (iiAfrica), a pan-African non-profit bridging academia and industry, he has led the training of more than 2,000 graduates from over 25 African countries in data analytics, business intelligence, and work readiness, progress toward an ambitious goal: equipping 1 million STEM graduates by 2035 to power Africa’s Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The flagship Industry Immersion Program, first piloted with AIMS and ESMT Berlin, now spans the continent, including a Kenya launch with Academics Without Borders and Strathmore University. In Ghana, David spearheaded Ghana1000, a partnership with ESMT Berlin and the Mastercard Foundation that has prepared over a thousand graduates to lead in their National Service and beyond.

A mathematician by training, David holds a PhD from the University of Cape Town, an MSc with distinction from AIMS Senegal, and a Bachelor’s in Bio-Mathematics from the University of Ghana. He is among the 40 Young Leaders of AGYLE, connecting African and German changemakers.
