Rahim’s role as Senior Program Development Officer focuses on the development and scale up of our Strengthening Engineering Education and Research (SEER) program.
He is also Assistant Director for the International Virtual Engineering Student Teams (InVEST) project at University of Toronto’s (UofT) Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering.
Dr. Rahim Rezaie co-founded and coordinated a number of development-focused research initiatives at the UofT’s Centre for Global Engineering; most recently the Engineering Education for Sustainable Cities in Africa (EESC-A) program. He has conducted post-doctoral fellowships at the UofT’s Rotman School of Management and the Munk School of Global Affairs and completed a post-graduate research fellowship at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
Rahim’s core interest is in stimulating innovations in science, technology and education aimed at low-resource settings. He has extensive international experience with a PhD in Global Health and a Master of Biotechnology degree, both from the University of Toronto.
