Timothy M. Shaw

Tim Shaw holds three degrees from universities on three continents: Sussex, Makerere and Princeton. He was based at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia for three decades and has since taught at the University of London and Royal Roads University in British Columbia. He is presently Director of the Institute of International Relations at the Trinidad campus of the University of the West Indies. Dr Shaw is a Continuing Visiting Professor at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Makerere University Business School in Uganda and Stellenbosch University in South Africa. He has held visiting posts at universities in Denmark, Japan, Nigeria, the UK, Zambia and Zimbabwe ,and directed Canadian student visits to Uganda & Zimbabwe. He has served on boards for the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, Partnership Africa Canada, VSO Canada, WUSC, etc. Tim edits book series on international political economy for Ashgate and Palgrave Macmillan presses.
