Professor Savadogo obtained the aggregation and the CAPES (Certificat d’aptitude au professorat de l’enseignement du second degré) in 1988, and in 1992 received a doctorat d’État in philosophy from the University of Paris IV. In 1993 he was appointed assistant, in 1995 Maître-assistant, in 1998 Maître de conférences, and in 2002 Professor at the University of Ouagadougou. There he teaches courses in moral and political philosophy and the history of modern and contemporary philosophy.
He was head of the Philosophy and Psychology Department at the University of Ouadadougou from 1997 to 2000, and from 2000 to 2001 he was Associate Dean of Research and Popularization. Currently, he is responsible for doctoral studies in philosophy and editor of the journal, Le Cahier Philosophique d’Afrique. From 2001 to 2005, he was a visiting researcher at the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix de Namur and since 2002 he has been a visiting professor in the Universities of Bouaké, Cotonou, Dakar et Lille.
He has written six books, Philosophie et existence (2001), La parole et la cité: Essais de philosophie politique (2002), and Philosophie et histoire (2003) with Harmattan Publishers, and Éric Weil et l’achèvement de la philosophie dans l’Action (2004), Esquisse d’une théorie de la création (2005), and Pour une éthique de l’engagement (2007) with Presses Universitaires de Namur in Belgium.
